Well I've just come back from it... very intimate affair, maybe only 40 people there, which was really good, cause I got to sit right up close in the second row, meaning really awsome pictures, which once I get my camera powered up again and when I've got the time I might post one or two photos. Ppl on my flist, if your interested, I'll put Illegal Tony and Illegal Rachel up too in MP3 :P, And maybe a few vids up too once my bandwidth returns to normal!
I had an awesome time, and got to ask quite a few questions... sad part is that Rachel didn't stick fight or sing for us :( but still...
Hmm my throughts are very disjointed.. but anyway...
In short, there was a stick fighting display on before Tony and Rachel came on, which was both awesome and educational (for ppl who haven't had martial arts training before). Was primal and fluid at the same time.
Then Tony came on, he's a lot more relaxed and funny that what I'd though and what I'd read previously. It was a Q&A session so he went over the usual cast and crew stuff, what he liked about Bra'tac, his acting career.. Oh and there was a puppy/dog immitation too! ;)
Rachel came on next and got such a warm reception. She talked about getting into the role, casting, her peers and what she's like to see teyla in the future. She also got given a little road-sign plate with Kangaroo 14km ahead sign! She's such a sweety. Softly spoken but commanding the attention of those she spoke to.
After individual sessions, Tony came on stage again to join Rachel, and that's when the fun started! :P It was a half hour time slot which by this time both the crowd and the guest were feeling quite relaxed, a lot of banter going between Tony/Rachel (but more tony) and the crowd espcially the whole American-Australian speaking, toilets and phrases! He even tried his hand at a steve irwin impression (bless him, rip)!
I met a few ppl from the Terra Nova / shuttle mawson club which they were really interesting, and found out about thier club which basically works like a star-ship ranking hehehe! Hopefully I'll meet them again in the next con I go to.
There were ppl there from the costume's guild which was amazing espcially since some of the ppl had acutally made thier own costume! There were lots of ppl in SG1 gear, one person in SGA blacks. Really amazingly was a guy in Jaffa metal outfit (sans the headgear), one guy in BSG (original) outfit, and most stunning, were a couple wearing Prior's robe (with glowing staff and all!!!) and his other half wearing ardiae's costume!
Other notes of interest. David Hewlett is definately booked in (contract signed and all) to the Armegedon tour in 2007 for NZ, Melbourne and Sydney. Unfortunately he will not be comming to Adelaide, cause there's just not enough interest... (seriously.. who's not interested in DH!!! lol)
Adelaide is more a Star-Trek state rather than a DW or Stargate fan.
And most discustingly... If anyone's seen the Toothbrush clip on you tube... (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0AfSeSiOnE8&eurl= - so go watch it if you haven't) Rachel said that David indeed used the same toothbrush on Mars as he did on himself!

I spent a bomb today, but had the best time. It was definately better than my Amanda Tapping experience just for the sheer reason that it was so intimate and Tony and Rachel were actually speaking to US not a bunch of faces in the crowd.
